Clarence Denman Papers 1886-1982

Dr. Clarence Phillips Denman was a professor in history at the Arlington State College (now the University of Texas at Arlington) from 1955 to 1968. He compiled materials in preparation for writing a book, , which was never published. The collection primarily consists of notes and drafts Denman used in compiling his book. Included is correspondence exchanged between Denman and others as he conducted research. Other materials consist of photographs and printed materials relating to the history of The University of Texas at Arlington during its early years, when is was known by different names; these materials were donated to Denman by former students or their relatives.
